Poor wifi, any solution?

My new Chinese phone, Doogee F3 pro, has really bad wifi, a couple of bars, side by side my old MotoG would have 5 bars. Is there anything that can be done, something in engineering mode?

Is it connecting on the 2.4 ghz or 5ghz band?

It's connected to 2.4 GHz Sky router.
