Looking for some advise please. I am a lone parent and was recently renting a house while receiving rent allowance. My land lord put up my rent by 300€ so i had to move back to my parents house. At the moment i get €40 maintenence a week from the childs father. And i have just got a call today to say i start a job on monday after applying to 100s of jobs the last year! Its minimum wage at 8.65 per hour but full time so i will get 40 hours a week which is €346 a week. Am i entitled to fis? Or still get some lone parents? I am hoping to get on my feet and get my own place again. Will have to pay childcare etc but just happy to have the chance of a job over christmas and hopefully be kept on in January. Can anyone advise me what i am entitled to. Also i start monday-Friday 9-6 so cant get to welfare office. Would a phone call do to notify them ive started work? Thanks so much for any help.

You could apply for FIS, if you have one child the limit is €506 per week, if you have 2 it's €602.

You will get 60% of the difference between your income and the limit for your family.

If you are no longer entitled to OfP you should also apply for back to work family dividend... this is paid along with FIS.
