    Hi all,

I'm interested in doing an evening/weekend course in interior design. Purely for personal use to up-skill, not to pursue any professional career.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the following institutions?

Interior Design Academy of Ireland: Certificate in interior design (6 evenings over 3-month period)
Dublin Institute of Design: 10-week Associate Certificate in Interior Design (2 evenings per week for 10 weeks)

    Many thanks,

    Lil

Hi, in response to your query I'm currently studying for a Post Graduate Diploma in Interior Design with the Irish Academy Of Interior Design in Merrion Square. I started last Sept and its classroom based on every other Saturday.
I'm loving it though it in quite intense and full on. The tutors are excellent and there's loads of support and encouragement from all staff.
I hope this is of some help to you

Hi Lilly, best of luck with your venture on interior design. I'm a master craftsman decorator, and the interior designers we work with, although have done courses, they already have a great ideas themselves, Women in our (my company opinion) make the best interior designers, so very best of luck!, There are plenty of courses out there. I'm sure its a job you will quite enjoy!! :)

    Hi Lil,
I was thinking of doing the same myself, just so I can create an ambiance in my own home and to put my own touch and feel to it as it has been at the hands of my ex for years! It's beautiful now but time for change. If you do find a worthwhile course I would be grateful for you to let me know and vice versa :)
