Home Water Heating

    Hi all.

I have come across an issue at home with my hot water heating.

I have gas zone heating. 1 of the zones is my hot water. My problem is that no matter how how much I leave the gas on for this zone, the temperature is never hot enough in the taps.

    Just to note.

There's no problem with the cylinder thermostat. I can hear the click and it is correctly calling for heat as the motorized valve is actuating as normal when I set the stat to higher than current temperature. On that note the motorized valve is also fine. When actuated I can feel the hot water transfer through the piping to the open port.

With reference to the picture attached I have a question if anyone can help me. The lower most red valve was closed when on my first investigation. I'm unsure if this is correct.

Since this looks like the return feed of the coil inside the cylinder coming from the boiler. It makes sense that this would be closed (keeping the heat in the Cylinder).

Does anyone have any help with this. Thanks in advance.

That valve should be open if it's closed the heat can't return from the cylinder.
Open it fully count the turns and then close it 3/4 ways so it's only open 1/4

    Thanks for that.
