Marrying my fiancé who is a visa required national

Hey guys need a bit of advice! My fiancé and I are planning to get married in Ireland in March. She currently lives and works in the Middle East (which is where we met while I was working) I moved back to Ireland last month.

We got engaged just before I left. I went to the registry office as soon as I got back to Ireland to put in the papers for the marriage (my fiancé sent hers by post)

We now have a preliminary date, however the registrar has told me there will be an interview, but she dosent know when. Apparently a new law has been made that states such marriages need to be scrutinised further and her and her colleagues have not been trained yet how to do this.

Now I have a few questions. My fiancé is planning on coming in on a C visa (short term) I'm aware she will have to leave when this expires. Am I correct in thinking she can enter and we can marry with her being on that document? I have been told we need to visit the INIS where she will be given a stamp 3 which will allow her to remain in the state until we are married, then we can leave the country and return together after having been married here, we can then go back to the INIS and she can get a stamp 4 which will allow her to stay here with me full time as my wife is this correct?

Guys I'd really appreciate if you could help me with this one I'm getting a tonne of conflicting information at the end of the day I just want to marry my partner and there's all this red tape! Any info at all please get back to me!

Once there is a valid visa in place on the date of the wedding that is all fine. You can get married on a tourist visa. The only issue is the fact you would need a visa or visas to cover the date of the interview and the date of the wedding. These would come under stamp 3.

Once married you can go to INIS with the marriage cert and get stamp 4. I don't see any requirement to leave the state between the marriage and seeking stamp 4.

Do you get the cert straight away these days from a registrar?
It was several weeks after I got married in the mid noughties that the registrar sent her paperwork in to the gro.
