8x4 builders trailor - 4 wheel

What weight would the above standard trailor carry in meal, am using a 2 wheel trailor at the moment and carrying 650 kgs. Am worried in case trailor came off car.

In general is a 4 wheel safer for this job and what weight would it carry in a comfortable manner

I don't think the four wheel is any more
Likely I stay on than a two wheel, each must be properly loaded. The quality of the hitch and use of a safety chain will be what counts.
Four wheel may be easier on the car.

If that's the max weight you intend bringing I'd stick with a good quality 2 wheel as they attract less interest from Gardai regarding weights and liscences. Some still think two wheel is ok on regular liscence and that you'd only need the extra for a 4 wheel.

If you have a license a four wheeler would be better and safer some builders trailers a rated to carry 3ton.
Some four wheel trailers can carry less like 1.2 or1.3 ton which may be towed on b license depending on the car pulling it and what it's rated to tow and combined weight of car and trailer.

Whatever you get, I would advise an aluminium floor. Far better than a wooden one.

Thats a damn fine looking trailer for €900..
But unless you've got a trailer liscence then no point in buying one..

For €260 over the price of the second hand trailer it would be a far better buy.
