i had a cow like that and spent way too long chasing a cure before i got her tested for johnes. the vet didnt want to even test her but i made him, turned out positive. im not saying it is but for peace of mind get it done and hopefully its not.

I wonder if they came from drier ground and so have no fluke resistance like homebred cattle? That was one of the reasons we try to avoid buying in, never have the same inbuilt resistance to parasites.

I lno what you mean and intended to do such practices in the future but had to start the herd from new here this year so every thing was bought in ... It's second cut silage would that matter ...

can test positive for johnes from 2 years on, dont think endospec does for rumen fluke zanil or levafas cover it

Could be the change in diet, what's dm of silage?. Perhaps talk to vet maybe a few sulpha powder sachets mightn't do any harm.

Get your vet to do a dung sample and ask for advice. I wonder if stomach fluke is as prevalent as its maintained in some newspaper articles.

Dosing three weeks ago with a dose only effective against 10-12 week fluke (Endospec is albendazole) is only going to tackle fluke that went into the animals before the beginning of August, most likely, damn all. You would need to use a more effective flukicide, see this thread. I'd worry about covering fluke properly before thinking about Stomach Fluke.

Would liver fluke cause cattle to scour?

Some people debate that point but I think practical experience says yes.

Fasinex, without any waiting. It should rule out fluke as a cause.

I would rather u go in with levamas diamond or zanil , this will hit both stomach fluke and liver fluke.
After wet year cousin lost 6 bought in cattle with stomach fluke , he had vet treating them and by the time dung samples came back they had died

Would u not be worried about leaving time between doses
