Which area of the law?

    Hi,
I loaned money for a wedding reception to a family member and have not received repayment after a total of 3 years (there is evidence of acknowledgement of the debt and the actual transactions involved). I would like to engage a solicitor to help recover the debt. I can't find any similar cases online with this and am wondering what specialist field of the law I could potentially engage?

    Apologies if this is irrelevant.

With a potential issue with intention to create legal relations (have a google OP) straight out of the gate.

The other area you need to look at is - is enforcement of any judgement possible?

It's not an irrelevant question at all.

However, the answer is that it isn't a specialist area of law so you can go to pretty much any firm to handle the work.
