Apt Water Very Slow

Hi everyone, I was hoping someone on here could help me out.

I just moved in to a new apartment; it's been unoccupied for the last few months.

I have no water pressure when I turn on the bath, bathroom sink, or hot water tap in the kitchen. But, there is still a little water coming out (just a very slow flow).

There is no problem with flow in the cold tap in the kitchen, the only issue is that it isn't cold.

I turned the valves on the boiler counterclockwise, and turned all switches on; but still no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas how I might fix this? (Keep in mind, it could be something very, very simple)

Yes sounds like you have an airlock in the system. You'd be best not to open / close valves that you don't know what they do, this could cause other issues.

Do you have a mixer tap in the kitchen? If it's a mixer tap, cover the nozzle with your hand, turn on hot and cold at the same time. This might well clear the airlock in the hot water side...

Could it be possible that he owner/agent turned off the pump and it never got switched back on again? I would turn mine off if I was going on holidays.
Can you try flicking the switch off/on that your pump is connected to if its visible. Does the pump make a sound when switched back on?

    Good point about the valves!

It's a mixer tap yeh, I tried what you mentioned but no change unfortunately

    Cheers anyway

That's what I figured, but I flicked on the switches on the wall opposite the pump, and no change.

I was hoping I was missing a really obvious button on the pump itself.

It doesn't really make much noise at all, which is why I thought it may have been the issue

I've actually managed to get it sorted by complete fluke...

I turned off the main fuse switch for about 10 seconds, and turned it back on in teh hopes the pump would 'reset' itself, and it working now!

    Cheers for the help lads

There's often a pump in the hot press for all the water except the kitchen cold, if the pump isn't working you get low pressure. Can you upload a picture of the hot press plumbing.
