Just wondering whether the 78 day waiting period for Jobbridge begins from when I was first due payment from the 3rd of October ( when my application eventually went through I was paid my arrears from this date onward) or from when I signed on on the 27th of that month?

It starts from commencement date of your claim which in your case appears to be 3rd Oct.
