Turbo Trainer advice

I know, people are probably saying, not this topic again!

I am looking for a turbo trainer to do some miles over the winter. I started regular cycling end of last year, and built up to doing a few 150km+ charity events.

I am extremely time poor , i.e. have lots of small children and very little opportunities to spend hours on the bike at weekends.

    My main requirements are:

    a) not too expensive
    b) not too loud
    c) will work with programs such as trainerroad or zwift
    d) not too annoying! I had a loan of a minoura mag trainer last winter and while it would make me sweat I found the feeling/rythm of it quite annoying, and not very enjoyable.

Anyhow I have been looking at the Elite Crono Fluid Elastogel as from what I can gather fluid is quieter and more 'road like' than a Mag and it seems to get good reviews, and is now down to 200 euro on Wiggle

However I have noticed that trainer has now been replaced by the ELite Qurbo, does anybody know what would be the reason for going for the Qurbo FLuid over the older model?

Also I have seen a few around second hand, anything special to look out for when buying second hand?

    Thanks a mill!!

Hi. I have the one of the cyclops fluid trainers and the fluid are more realistic than the mag ones. The resistance comes from the fluid. They're not much use if you want to do out of the saddle as the resistance wouldn't be enough to stand on the pedals. That's what I found but if you stay in the saddle they're ace. Quite than the mag also. I have went thru 2 mag trainers and a rollers and what I have now is good. Would change for the elite muin if I had the bobs though
