Red Cow Hotel - how to...get there!

    Is there a trick to getting to Red Cow from N7 Naas direction without having to go past it and do an illegal u turn a mile up the road?

    Go southbound off the n 7. Take ballymount exit and come in that way

    Yep Ballymount exit (next southbound after Red Cow).

    Follow road around to the left at half roundabout past tv3.

    Straight through next roundabout.

    It's 2nd right then, they've put up big billboards two weeks ago to direct you to their carpark.

    This is indeed a mighty quest you're undertaking. To get to the fabled red cow, 5 tasks you must complete.

    1. Get a lock of hair from the tail of a unicorn
    2. Kick Ryan tubirdy up the backside
    3. Kiss Mary Harney
    4. Get a nail clipping from a Irish water protester
    5. Kill Batman

    Once all tasks are complete will you open the portal to the Red Cow.

    It is an almighty pain to get to. I found the luas, then walking over the bridge was easier than driving like.

    Whatever you do, don't take the exit which appears to take you towards the Red Cow Inn as this is an optical illusion and as it twists back the other direction when half way across the roundabout and will throw you into the path of the toll booth. Think of it as a roller-coaster for cars and the toll as price of admission.

    The Ballymount entrance to the Red Cow is closed. Only way in is the Naas Road entrance. No need for any illegal turns though. The long mile/nangor road junction will get you there
