    Hi Guys,

Anyone can help me with this:

I have registered for VAT from 1st November 2015 through ROS. My registration is pending as it takes up to 3 -4 weeks for registration to become active.
Should I charge the clients VAT now or should I wait for the registration to become active and charge from that day??

    Any help appreciated

    Hi Dali

There is no easy way around this.

I would ring revenue and ask if there is any way that it can be speeded up as you want to invoice customers and need the vat number urgently. Ask if there is any information that is missing or that they may need to decide the case.

I would not issue invoices until the VAT number is properly active. Tat could cause a number of issues.

You may ask to get paid on account in the meantime.

Yes I wish there was a straight answer... Invoices has to be issued now and the questions is , am I liable for VAT on those invoices...

And to get the Revenue on the phone this time of the year :) 12th Nov - the last day for IT 2014 submissions : )
