Changing from one consultant to another within the same hospital/department

    Hi,

Was wondering if it's possible to change which consultant I see when I attend the OPD at an endocrinology clinic? I moved to this hospital about 18 months ago and see my consultant about every 3 to 6 months. I was never a big fan of how they treated me but it's got to the stage now where I am utterly unhappy with their care and I don't think it's in my best interests to continue to see them. I do not intend to report them to the medical council or submit a complaint or anything like that, I just want to see someone else in clinic and have someone else make the calls about my medications and dosages etc.

Or is this one of those best left alone things?

Just see one of the regs in clinic instead of the consultant.

I do. The consultant always is called in at the end though. Which is where the medications issue comes into play.

(It's a lot more than their attitude I have issue with, I can tolerate someone being rude to me for 5 minutes. And a lot longer too tbh).
