Rhythm Roulette - Boards Edition.

Yo beat makers,

If you're not familiar with the concept of Rhythm Roulette do a quick search on YouTube. Watch the older ones before they sold out and got sponsored and went sh1te and stopped showing what was sampled.

Who here is on for something similar?

Steps:
1. Find a record shop
2. Have your mate film you picking out 3 records from the dollar/euro bins.
3. Make a dope beat and post it here with the selection vid.
4. We put all the beats to a vote within boards.

I'm not a beat-maker and this is an excellent idea. Rhythm Roulettes are mostly good.

While yous are looking at that, The Expert and Danny Diggs put a twist on this once, they took records and flipped them into a new track. They put them on an EP so that you can compare.

This is a track I did a few years ago for something similar. But this was more along the lines of the Secondhand Sureshots idea. We all had an allowance of a 5er (or a 10er? Can't remember) and had to only use samples from the records we picked out of the charity shops. No external samples or synths.

Is there anyway of doing it without the record shop/filming bit? I'm 30 miles from town and don't have time for that bit lol.

Love the rhythm roulette series.

I wouldn't call myself a beat maker or a producer but I've got a maschine mikro that I can just about use at a basic level. I need to get sitting down and learn to use it properly and this could be a good way to do it even if I don't make anything worth submitting.

We need to hold off a bit to see who is interested, so there is time. Also, we can figure out the exact specifics once we know who all is in. Thanks for shoing interest.

Eh man, it's all fun and games. Yeah, would be a great motivation to get a solid sit down with the gear. Submit something anyway and you'll for sure get some solid feedback.
