    Hi Guys,

Anyone happen to know where in the bejaysus this sensor is in the 2.0l mark 1 santa fe?

Engine cut out and cuts out again every time I start the car. OBDII kit tells me its this sensor.
I was just standing out in the rain looking for it, but couldnt see it and didnt want to start unbolting parts blindly.

Did you check the area of the engine in the vicinity of the camshaft? :pac:

If memory serves it's behind the timing belt cover, belt has to come off to replace.

That would be the Crank Shaft Position sensor.
The Camshaft Position sensor is located on the end of the camshafts on the right side of the engine. (On the battery/air cleaner side of the engine.)

Applies to the 2.0 and 2.4 4 cyl petrol engines.

Hi anybody know for sure where the Crankshaft Position Sensor is on the Santa Fe 2.0 CRDI 4WD engine ?

Its one of the last of the older shaped body 2006.

I have a diagram which seems to show it at the back of the engine on the air/fuel filter side ie. right side as you look in but some people are telling me its down the left/other side behind the timing belt cover ... 😕
