Best time to get a new job is when you have one already?

    Or a myth?

Going insane in my current position (wages/working hours/gaffer). I make a massive contribution but just cant justify it any more.

Problem is finding time to attend interviews when working full time.

    Any help appreciated :)

The only thing you can do is take time off to go and interview with a Company. If you're dead set on leaving your current role, don't let the worry of necessary time off get to you and just take what you need.

Therein lies the problem. My line manager has put a hold on my annual leave so I can't take any within the next month. Long story, we dont see eye to eye on things and he claims to be within his rights to do so

I think he is within his rights.

Very often companies will arrange interviews for early morning or late afternoon if you ask as they know people are in the same position as you. You might be able to organise some before or after work if you are lucky. That's what I did for the current job I'm in so didn't have to take time off.

Yeah I've looked it up and he can do this.

UI've had 2 interview opportunities last week but I couldn't attend.

They were both in South Dublin but as I work an 8-4 shift in north dublin city, the latest they could schedule them for was 4.45 and I wasn't able to make it

How's your health? Had any 24 hour vomiting bugs lately?

It might be easier if you focus on one job application at a time, I always struggled with interviews while working as I generally got called for the first interview for anything in my sector, but I was spreading myself too thin and couldn't focus correctly. Have a look around and find a job or two that you would really like and apply for them.

Also, don't just take the first job that comes up as you may find yourself in a worse position down the line.
