    Hi
I got a canon 350d it's a rebel but no view finder. I thinking I might buy a 110D canon. Is that a good idea? Am I gaining much in technology?

Average second hand price of an 1100D is €220 to €250. They are an all round good performer, but very basic.

Have you looked at the 1200D? Brand new online price is in or around €230. Irish brick and motar price is in the €320 plus price range. In my opinion you are getting a much better camera in the 1200D over a 1100D.

A friend of my got a 1200D , back in the summer and is very pleased with the compact feel and performance of the camera.

    The 350D has a viewfinder??

You would gain in most areas by upgrading to a 1100D, most notably 12 vs 8mp, 6400 vs 1600 max iso (and improved iso performance), bigger screen on the back 2.7" vs 1.8"and the addition of video (720p). The 1100D has since been replaced by the 1200D which would have even more gains in terms of tech, 18mp, 1080 video, 3" screen

You can view a technical comparison here, http://www.dpreview.com/products/compare/side-by-side?products=canon_eos350d&products=canon_eos1100d&products=canon_eos1200d&sortDir=ascending

Have you a particular reason you want to upgrade, are you looking for something particular in your new camera?

I can't see the picture before I take it, it's very annoying. The extra pixels would be nice as well and memory cards etc. I like to record video. The 350d is working grand but no raw option either.
