    Hi Folks,
So Ive decided to put the Z up for sale in the next few days but I am a bit unsure what a realistic asking price for it would be so I said i would ask you guys for a bit of help! I imported the car from the UK in February.

Its an E85 2.5si M-Sport in silver. It has auto climate control, auto lights, auto wipers, heated leather m sport seats, parrot bluetooth phone and audio, Aux in, parking sensors, M-Sport steering wheel, 18" style 108 alloys, OEM wind deflector. It has about 82000 miles on the clock, its NCT until march 2017 and tax until February. The car is very clean inside and out and doesn't need any work done to it for the foreseeable!

Heres a few pics. What do you guys reckon would be a good asking price?
    Thanks for reading!

I was afraid of that, I reckon I have a bit over 14k in the car after very, tax etc. I was hoping I would be about to get 13k for it? Would you guys reckon this would be too optimistic?

Well that's a UK car originally in those pics so I'm not quite sure of the relevance of that to this thread.

Its something I considered, but I wonder would it be a massive amount of hassle? I wouldn't even know where to start looking into how to do this! Is it possible to trade a car up north and get a VRT rebate?
Would a paddy spec sell in uk?

Hardly a paddy spec car in fairness. And it came from the UK originally

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

No such thing as a paddy spec BMW. Well not since 2003 when BMW themselves took over the distributorship and all UK and Irish cars have the same specs since...

And you didn't do too bad...

What spec is missing? Seems well kitted to me for that type of car.

It says he imported it from the UK at the end of the very first paragraph in his original post, so no, a detective you would not make... :P

I think it has all the options except nav and cruise control, though abut a cruise retrofit but never got around to it.

I think it could be tricky to sell heading into winter. Although I bought it on the coldest day of the year in Liverpool :pac:

I think selling a car like that now is interesting. Many people say it's a bad time of year which is completely logical. But you may get some people who know they want to buy one, and think they will get a better deal at this time of year regardless of what deal they actually get.

I'm not sure how many people look at the long term forecast in May and think, sunshine forecast, I'll go buy a convertible!

Best of luck with the sale, looks like a great car. If it was me, I would look at selling it in the north as mentioned already.

Sorry to hijack but what kind of road noise inside the cabin would you get driving with the hood up, would it be comparable to a normal car or much louder? I've never driven a convertible.

Its a beaut, but couldn't justify buying it off ye!

Why are you selling so soon after buying? Whats the tax on that yoke?

Its actually not too bad. I had a Mini Cooper S before the BMW and I would say the road noise is comparable between the 2. I would put the road noise in both cars down to the frameless windows as i have foind cars without door frames generally louder.
I was more impressed with the noise while the roof is down, you can have a normal conversation with the radio on at normal volume even at 80 mph on a motorway

Thanks :D The tax is 1080 which I don't find too bad, I wouldn't fancy going much higher though!
I am selling as an opportunity for a bucket-list car has come up that I would like to make space for! If only I could keep both :o Ive always been a massive hot hatch fan too and am eager to get back into one! Sure I can tempt you haha :pac:
