I know that when I use my Leap card on DB it sometimes takes a day or two for that fare deduction to appear on my account on www.leapcard.ie

How does DB collect the data from the readers on the buses? Does someone go around to each bus in the garage, plug a device into the scanner and upload the data, or is there a wireless method of gathering the data as soon as the bus gets back to the garage and comes within the range of a network wi-fi device?
