Just in case anybodys not aware, charts for the HIRLAM predictive model are now on meteociel.fr.

Regions covered are the UK & Ire, France, Germany, Italy & Spain.

Runs at 0, 6, 12 & 18 hours. Not sure at what time the runs are publicly available though.

These maps show the model predictions of HIRLAM produced by KNMI ( Dutch weather agency ) every 6 hours . The map updates start around 16:00 , 22:00, 4:00, 10:00. The resolution is 0.1 ° (about 10 km).
    .

Yep, it's handy to have it on Meteociel.

Anyone know anything about it? Is it a good model and if so what is its best use? (pressure, temperature, precipitation?)

It's probably the best short range model for this neck of the woods that's publicly available. It's part of the model suite that Met Eireann use.
