    so I decided I want to peruse a career in secondary school teaching but I can't find any information about subject modules required in college as I'm in college at the moment could someone post a link please ?

    It all depends on what you want to teach. In the case of primary teaching, you need at least a HC3 in Irish, while it would vary for secondary teaching, depending on which course you want to do.

    For secondary, you could do a specialised teaching degree, for example:

    Or you could do a degree recognised by the teaching council, which would allow you to teach certain subjects, depending on the subjects you studied, and then do the professional masters in education.

    Use Qualifax to find courses and their points, entry requirements, etc.

    There is very few jobs available in teaching, and the job is becoming more and more difficult. Find out as much as you can about the career, before you choose to enter it.

    You have to do a degree in the subject(s) you want to teach.
    Then you do a two year post-graduate teaching qualification.
    Please be fully aware of the costs involved (12000 euro plus for the teaching qualification) and the lack of jobs on qualification.
