Does anyone know if theres a free version of Flightradar24 or similar anywhere that gives you details about the aircraft like type/origin/destination etc?

I would have no problem giving Flightradar my money and I have on my phone its just Im trying to put it on someones Android device and they wont have any way to pay, no credit card linked to an account etc. It seems Google wont let me gift an app to someone either.

    Any suggestions appreciated...

Google Play voucher as an alternative? Smallest denomination one in the north is £5, not sure what is available in the south.

You just pay for it with cash in Tesco / Asda / whatever and then go online and redeem the code. No credit card required.

You could just set it up as a favourite on the web browser. Thats still free. :)

Takes about 5 minutes to load though, I think they deliberately throttle it...

I have the app on my tablet and use the free website on my Android phone. The phone usually loads in less than 20 seconds on mobile data and half that time on wifi, using mozilla firefox as my browser.

Only problem is that you used to be able to knock off the ads after 20seconds, but that seems to be stopped now.

Thanks, Ill see if I can set up a shortcut or widget that they can press on the homescreen to take them straight there, they're not very technical.

Id gladly pay them for it if I could, its a great service.
