I am new to farming and I was wondering how much it costs to cut silage per round bale, and how much could I ask for those bales if I sold them later in the year.

YOu need to be asking these questions over in the Farming forum.. this is a very specific topic and you would get it answered over there..

    Best answer I can give..

Mow, row bale & wrap. I pay €8.50 per bale, I've been told it costs €5-6 to do the work, but thats second hand talk from a lad who works for a contractor., I've no direct experience in the costings.

    8.50 bale and wrap
    3.00 plastic
    3.60 mow and rake at 10 bales/acre
3.00 draw bales if not near yard
10.00 value of grass in bale

    28.10 total cost

Doing well to get 25 out of yard tbh..
