When it says €20 off does your trip have to be above €20 then or if it's say 15 do you get it free?

Assuming its not changed since last year when they had the same offer you will have a free trip and have €5 credit left over.

If you're a new uber customer you can input the code yourself and see if it takes (which it will).

Is there still anyone who doesn't have both uber and hailo installed (registered)? Are people just creating new accounts to get these "offers"? Or no one actually gets it.

There would be some people out there alright, even if you have installed the app last year, if you have never took a trip then this code should still work.

Is it still 20 euro off if you get taxi in Dublin to co Meath?

Are ubertaxis supposed to be 10% cheaper? I got one recently and there was no difference to a normal taxi price.

Think they did away with that a while back. Can't find the email on it though, it was the same time they renamed uberx as ubertaxi.

I used Uber last month and it was still 10% of the meter price, if you don't get 10% off just email them, their customer service is very good.

Didn't realise Uber was here just yet. Is it really only 10% off?

In the States I was getting a minimum of 40% off what a taxi would cost!

In the states its unlicensed and uninsured drivers compared to registered fully insured taxi drivers here I believe so their costs are higher and as such savings for the customer less here. I believe legally they can't allow non licensed drivers to operate Uber here.

I did contact them at the time and they said I got an ubertaxi which doesn't qualify for 10% off. I don't think there are any uberx's in Ireland though, it's ubertaxi or uber black.

Does uber use real taxis or can anyone with a car sign up to pick you up?

Already answered in the thread, you'll get to keep the remainder for your next trip (unless they have changed it in the last 12 months)

    Got a reply from Uber

    "Hi David,

    Thank you for your message.

I've checked your account and and found that your promotion has a value of €20, however, promotion is for a single journey and any value not utilized on each journey will not roll over as credit towards future trips. "

So i guess i'll be taking uber black to the airport this christmas :)

I signed up with the code and I think it worked?? I can't find a way to see the €20 balance on my account though, am I missing something?

Also, where do I enter the verification code they texted me? I can't find anywhere to enter it.

I would have imagined the verification screen would have been during the registration process. You will see the credit in the payments menu.
