    I received a letter from Irish Water informing me of a possible leak.

    The letter states that I should follow this link on their website for more information.

    www.water.ie/help-centre/leak-detection/first-fix/

    That page can not be found and returns error 404.

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    As you have a received a letter from Irish Water informing you of a possible leak, we would advise you contact us on 1890 278 278, and a member of our team will be able to assist you further.

    We would also advise you proceed with the following checks in order to determine if there is an ongoing leak at your property before you call us.

    They are:
    - Check the toilet for a constant sound of water running from the cistern;
    - Check the water storage tank to see if it is refilling when water appliances are not in use;
    - Check all household and external taps for drips; and
    - Check water consuming appliances for plumbing issues such as dripping joints.

    And, as TheChizler previously provided, you can find more information on our First Fix Free scheme here.

    I hope you found this information helpful and please let us know if you have any other queries.

    Kind regards,
    Mairead
