Depends greatly on what kind of music you're into really. We'll be having 3 songs - 2 while everyone gets settled and the 3rd for the actual walking down part (we're having na on site ceremony). But my choice is Billy Idol, White wedding. Everyone knows it and it's a bit of fun!

We had Enya - Only Time. Not as lively as white wedding though!

Im looking for inspiration too for my ceremony.

I have my walking up the aisle song picked out (Christina Perri Thousand Years Instrumental) and i think we will have the Elbow song too, One Day like this. Its lovely as just instrumental. Im not having any singing as i dont know if it will suit the room, think id just prefer instrumental.

Any other ideas for songs? Its a Humanist ceremony so fairly open to songs, nothing religious.

We used the acoustic version of the Wedding Song by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

We also used their song Hysteric for when we walked out after the ceremony and our first dance was to Maps, I think we should have asked the band to sponsor our big day :D

We had Elbow, then exchanged rings to Ludovico Einaudi - Berlin Song, its a lovely piece of music I have to say, then walked out to Sigur Ros Hoppipolla. Not to everyones taste Im sure, but we had an informal humanist style ceremony and the music fitted perfectly.

MrsTeal had her stroll to Bright Eyes - First Day of My Life. Ne'er a dry eye in the house

We had the theme tune to the wombles

We didn't have one. But then I didn't walk up the aisle either. We arrived together and all our family and friends were there before us, so it was a sort of slow, hugging shuffle down the aisle as everyone greeted us :D

I walked up to Come What May from Moulin Rouge. I was afraid it would make me cry but I was so excited and distracted that I didn't even register the music!

What about All You Need is Love by the Beatles for something upbeat? We walked out to that.

I walked up the aisle to the instrumental of Bittersweet Symphony :)

We had falling in love with you - Elvis as the aisle song.

Certainly felt it worked well but its really a personal preference

I walked down to The Death March music from Star Wars (Darth Vadar theme)

your walking down the aisle song sets the tone for the whole day, so it really should reflect your personality

    I love this one.

"Believe it or not, I'm walking on air..."

(It's the theme song of "The Greatest American Hero": the words are very excited and romantic, though)

I walked up the aisle to Apocalyptica's cello version of Nothing Else Matters. Walked out to The Universal by Blur. Humanist ceremony.

We had a humanist ceremony and I walked up the aisle to an instrumental version of Here, there and Everywhere by the Beatles. For the register signing, we played an instrumental version of Love me Tender by Elvis, then when walking out we had an instrumental version of I'm Yours by Jason Mraz and our first dance was Only You by The Platters.
