Is it advisable to dose (non-injection) prior to an impending test, (though no date set as yet)?

Ideally, no, in case one should go down. Collection would be delayed until the withdrawal period was up which would delay retests.

However there are times where it may have to be done. Hoose is rampant at the moment and delaying dosing may be the difference between a non-event and a dead animal. Generally younger animals will be most likely to need dosing and thankfully these are the least likely to react. In that case a dose with the least withdrawal period could be used.

It may take a fortnight from the reading day to collection for a reactor so that could be a factor in the equation.

    Essentially, it's a risk analysis.
