When going for the grant what's the steps in getting there? Plan to put up 4bay slatted house but we've no experience in applying for grants.
Would I be far off in saying
    1. Plan of new shed
    2. Plan of farm yard
    3. Get planning permission
    4. Apply for the grant?

    That's about it.

Just make sure you have existing storage volumes for the stock already in place or you could find yourself getting deductions to your BFP.

What's the deadline date for applications? Is it not 31st Dec? If so, it's a bit tight for getting everything in order - especially planning!

Think it's the 12th of January for phase 2. I applied for planning in June and still waiting..... Missed the September deadline due to the c#nts.

A 4 bay slatted could come under exempted development if you meet certain criteria, check that first

Also 1st phase is now closed

    Thanks for the replies.
The longer I leave it is it the more chance of the kitty being emptied?
Also how would I find out if I'd be exempt from planning? Contact local planning athourity I guess?

If your over 40 or have no farming qualification does that mean your on your own regarding a grant for building sheds.

Anyone can qualify for the 40% but only young trained farmers qualify for the extra 20%.
