Have nct test at 7 clock and just realised that middle seatbelt in back on my 00 ford focus is jammed and won't come out of slot. Have i any chance in getting away with this or if they fail me will I have to retest or will it just be a visual next time.

It will be a fail but visual recheck to pass once fixed in 30 days.

Is the release button pressing down?

i'd say if you plug in all the other rear seat belts to make it look like the car was prepared for the test, the chances are the tester won't unclip any of them and you'l be grand.

you really should get it fixed though.

If he spots it, it will fail and need a visual retest

    They will test all clips.

Maybe it's stuck with a sweet or jelly, try boiling water,

Can the entire middle seat belt assembly be removed for the test until a replacement is found?

    This worked for me.

i always send my cars in with all the belts buckled up. i've yet to see a tester undo them.

you could also just remove the entire back seat completely and you would still pass

id go for this option personally,

If it's supposed to have a back seat it has to be fitted.

I know it's too late now but if the back of the seat isn't locked into place properly the seatbelt won't work.
