    Hi,
A neighbouring estate home owner is upgrading to a back boiler so is selling the fireplace and stove. The stove is designed to sit into our standard fires. Our homes are extremely similar and were built at the same time around 2000. Dimensions of both houses regarding the fire and fireplaces are identical.

The installer for the neighbour quoted me 300 euros. This is allot higher than I expected.

Is this job something a competent DIYer could do?

Are there more reasonable installers around? Considering the seeming match in house build.
