DSLR battery on ebay uk--too cheap?

    I saw a DSLR battery on ebay uk for 20 stg and 10 stg postage. It is new and is the same one as my camera. I checked photo against mine. But I wonder is it too cheap. Here it is 50 euro online and from a uk online shop 42 stg. There is a three month warranty and tracked delivery with a 99.3 positive feedback of the ebay seller?

    Any experience of this?

    Could be grey market, ie original Nikon but from Japan/China.

    Could also be a fake masquerading as a cheap original

    Price isn't cheap enough to indicate its totally dodgy - however, it could still be fake.

    Specialist shops often charge ridiculous markups.

    The price isnt too bad but after exchange rates £30 is about €42.

    When I did a quick search of shops here they seem to have the EN - EL14A version. Nikon say the "a" has 20% more battery life than the EN EL14.

    Did you check the buyers feedback.

    I havent in this case but as a general rule the supplier is best avoided if even one customer in the last few months has reported a problem with the product or a similar product

    Batteries and Data Sticks are two things I would prefer to use a B&M shop for..

    But isn't it £20? Anyway i went in to a B&M and bought one for 50 euro. Couldn't be botherd with possible hassle. Thanks for feedback

    It was 20 for the battery an 10 postage approx
