How long more would you hang on?

I have three friends who I know from school and we used to meet up a lot. I know as life goes on that you do see your friends less, but I haven't seen my friends in about three months. It's like we're just virtual friends. I have tried organising things but it doesnt happen. I am told they will let me know later in the week and I dont hear from them then.

I know that I can go out and make new friends and I am in a group that does meet up but I have confidence issues and sometimes don't go. But I am lonely.

I have a little girl and I love her but I need some adult company. As of my confidence issues, I don't go to play groups or anything because I can't start a conversation with the other mums..

My love life is in bits. My ex husband treated me horrible and I have no self esteem left.

How long should I give my friends before saying enough is enough? I can't talk to them about it. I have said before in a brief way oh we should make it a monthly thing to meet up but that was ignored..

I just don't know what to do

I would accept that your friends want to interact with you to the extent that they are doing and that it's not going to change. In your head you need to let that be. You don't have to cut all ties but accept that you have grown apart. Don't be bitter about it. You might find it allows you to move forward and make new friendships.
Remember, you managed to make friends before so you can do it again!
The mums at a mother and toddler group will be talking about their kids so that's something you can certainly contribute to.
