Hi there! Moving to australia soon and after applying to the australian government webpage directly I have my visa granted but i was wondering why they didn't ask me for a police background check? Is this normal or has it been recently introduced? Is it down to the employer to ask for one? Any help on this would be great.

They asked on the application did you have a record , you said no.

It's a holiday visa, they are not as frantical.

If You lied it may come back to haunt you.
