Bang in Car

Hey don't know much about cars so somebody might be able to help me. Anyway for the past few days there has been a clunking noise from the front passenger side like hitting a wretch all the time. When driving it feels like a flat tyre. Today I was driving along a country road at about 40 mph and there was a huge bang from the passenger side. I stopped immediately and looked at it and could see no problem. When I went to drive home, there was no power and had to drive in 2nd gear couldn't even get up to 20kph.

When I drive around the estate a while ago, there is still the clunking noise. What is the problem. Thanks

Please stop driving this car about and bring it to the garage. Your just going toget stranded or cause an accident.

What do you mean it "feels like a flat tire"? Is the car pulling heavily on that side (that's what a flat tire would do)? If this is the case, you might have a collapsed suspension - to the point where the tire is now wedged to the wheel arch, preventing the car from getting any speed.

As said by the others, you might want to call a tow truck (check with the insurance, you might have breakdown cover or maybe you're an AA member) or, if it's close enough (less than a couple of km) bring it to a garage ASAP.
