    Hello folks,

It a timber framed room 6 inch thick wall. The window is on a concrete sill. On the inside, this sill is flush with the window frame ie the window sits on the sill and inside this there is nothing as the wall is only 6 inches thick.

I want to make a window board but there is nowhere for it to fasten on to?

Any ideas? I might have to use 2 brackets but that may look a bit silly.

    Thanks a lot in advance

    Can you post a picture?

Are you saying the inside of the window is flush with the inisde wall? Sounds strange.

You could definitely do something, even bond / attach some planed 1x1 to the wall then bond a narrow window board to this.

Is the concrete sill sitting on the timber stud what's the build up of the wall
Is it a 4" block with 2x2 battens on the wall.
Probably create a 3x4 box at the window and sit a 4 1/2" window board on that
A shelf on two simple brackets might look tidier.
