Can anyone recommend a good high speed camera for recording slow motion? Ideally I'd like something that's capable of shooting up to 10000 FPS. I can't seem to find any on Amazon or the electronics stores.

I'd imagine it's cause Amazon wouldn't sell many Phantoms.

Yeah I saw that one. Any idea how much they cost? I saw a small one on youtube that's supposedly the same price as a compact camera.

I had to rent one a year ago or so. Cost about €1800 for a day.
10,000 fps is a lot and you'll pay serious money for a camera that shoots that fast at any decent resolution.

Quality on that doesn't look great.

That's a kickstarter too so you don't know what the end product will be until you pay for it.

A camera that can shoot at 10,000fps is going to cost the same price as a new car. Anytime I've seen them with a price tag they're at prices like 20,000 - 60,000.

The go pro cameras (or one of it's rivals) are probably the most cost effective way of doing slow motion.

You can further extend that slow motion footage in a program like after effects.
