I've always been pleased with delivery from Amazon.
It usually comes via An Post.
However the last two orders I placed, camE via iparcel (or rather one came and one has been 'lost')

It's impossible to speak to anyone.. the parcel says out for delivery 30th October.. and now Amazon say it has been 'lost in transit'.

Are iparcel the most incompetent couriers in ROI?!

i-Parcel hand over all packages to fastway couriers for final delivery here. If you contact i-parcel, they will be able to provide you with a fastway tracking number.

Are you by any chance in a rural location?

It was an order I placed for my mother in the west of Ireland. She lives in a relatively big town.. I don't know how it could take over a week, when delivery was expected last Friday.

It was only a very small order. I don't know why they don't just use standard An Post. It seems to get to addresses quicker :)

OP don't waste your time trying to deal with i-parcel or fastway its not your problem and its a waste of your time. As soon as the item is late even by one day just contact Amazon and they will either send another one or refund.

And yes An Post is quicker and better for stuff from Amazon.

Funnily enough I've just been in touch with amazon.
They're refunding one item (as it was a seller and 'fulfilled' by amazon so they couldn't replace) and replacing the other.

But then I got an email back from iparcel who said they are going to attempt to 'redeliver' (gas, as there was definitely no first attempt!)

Will have to return one of the orders to amazon presumably if the iparcel delivery arrives...

Its harder to do than say but you can always refuse delivery of the second one then you don't have to bother about returning it.

Edit> Although I'm not 100% sure if iparcel deliveries require you to be in or to sign for them. My local fastway rep just throws them in the letter box and drives off.

I have an iparcel delivery from Amazon showing as out for delivery at the moment but it is getting very late for delivery this evening!

    Another miserable failure by Fastway/UPS/Iparcel

Depends where you are. Fastway set a very low bar for the quality of their drivers, but there seem to be a few good ones out there. The whole business model seems to be based on taking on too many deliveries at too low a price then blaming someone else (customer, seller's packaging and address writing skills etc, etc) when they can't do what they promised, when they promised.

If you don't urgently need what's in the parcel, then just refuse to accept the package when it arrives at your door and ask Amazon for a refund. You have a 14 day cooling off period because of Distance Selling regulations. Amazon will never take any notice unless people start doing this on a regular basis. Otherwise, we are all tacitly endorsing the wholesale wasting of our time, waiting around the house, as an acceptable part of doing business with Amazon.

My delivery expected and "out for delivery" all day yesterday never turned up!

It changed status to "processed at transport hub" at 9.30pm and has not been changed since so I don't know if it is "out for delivery" this morning.

I found sending a mail to trackmyparcel@i-parcel.com asking for the fastway tracking number is always answered very quickly.

Than use the fastway tracking number to see what the status is and if you there is a problem with fastway, contact you local franchisee via phone http://www.fastway.ie/contact-us .
