I'm on an expensive (for me!!) medication for asthma. The inhaler costs ~€70 a pop and lasts for a month. My doc gave me a prescription for 6 months. Can I get these all together under the Drugs Payment Scheme and pay a maximum of €144??

    Short answer, no.
The €144 payment/threshold is for one month's supply of medication only

Agree with above post- 144 just covers one month's supply. If the 70 a month cost is too high for you mention it to your doctor as there may be a cheaper inhaler that will be equally effective for you (I don't mean a generic inhaler necessarily but a different medicine entirely). The Dr would rather you swap to a cheaper one than not take your mess at all due to cost.
