Good Morning Ashleigh233 and thanks for getting in touch on Boards.ie

If you are currently using an ATM and wish to apply for a visa debit card you can do this by dropping into a branch or calling BOI Direct on 0818365365. A visa debit card is linked directly to your current account and can be used for purchases in shops and online and for withdrawing cash at an ATM.

A credit card is separate from your current account and is paid off at the end of the month, it is subject to interest. Please see here for more on credit cards and how to apply for one.

If there is anything else we can help you with just let us know.

    Thanks,
    Evie
