Help with a new bike

    Sorry for another new bike thread, I'll make it quick and painless.

    Baby on the way so no time to get to the mountains
    Temp move to the dark side from my trail riding days.
    Have a Canyon Strive so open to online suggestions. Know my MTB stuff but haven't a breeze about road bikes.

    Tiny budget of €300-350
    Never been on a road bike before so comfort over aerodynamics.
    Short enough spins generally 1-2 hours with the odd longer now and again.
    Not from that place beginning with H
    Height 5"8 when my hair is up so I suppose around the 54cm mark

    All and any advice including 2nd hand options appreciated.
    Was looking at a 2014 Trek alpha 1.1 2nd hand, buyer looking for €300, is that too much?
