Strange shadow in photo

I was messing around with my phone earlier taking photos with the reverse camera. Just before I took one of the photos, I thought I saw a shadow moving across the background on the screen but when I turned around to look, it was gone. When I looked back through the photos, there it was, and then gone again in the next picture taken immediately afterwards. Nobody else in the house, no animals or anything that could have caused a shadow this black. I've blotted the faces but that's the only editing I'be done. What could have caused this shadow? There have been some slightly odd things happening in the house lately but I'm looking for rational reasons more than anything else.

Software in the camera making adjustments for light and surroundings?

The shadow at the top right is my hand over the camera, I'd be very embarrassed if I made that mistake :pac:

    It's very jagged, I'd say it's digital.

Also in the 1St photo, is it top left behind the sofa? Again it's very angular with straight lines, doesn't look like something that would occur naturally, again I'd blame your camera phone

No, the first photo was taken straight after the second one. Sorry I got them mixed up when uploading. I only uploaded it to show that the shadow was gone a second later. I thought it might be the camera software but it just seems a bit strange that the shadow is so solid and seems to be behind the rocking chair, if you see what I mean? Anyway, I'm more than happy to believe it's the cameras fault!

Ask in the photography forum. Theyll be familiar with any digital glitches that could cause stuff like this. First rule of paranormal investigation: eliminate the obvious causes first. :)

It doesn't look to be behind rocking chair to me, you can see the hairs in front of the frame. Random bit of fluff in front of lens.

Is it just me or as there a couple of unusual red blotches there too?

Have you tried taking random pictures with the same settings?

Yes and I couldn't replicate anything like it

In what direction is the child looking? The one closest to it. There head would suggest they are looking in that direction?

It probably isn't much, if you compare the two pics, you will notice distortion of a handle of a pot in the far background, in the kitchen. camera phones, even the best of them aren't great.

It looks like something very close to the camera as it's very blurry, therefore small. Was anyone wearing a bracelet with a string or jewellery or something hanging off the phone that could have swung into frame? Is there a case surrounding the lens that could have had a piece of fluff hanging off it?
