    Hi,

So here is my predicament, went to replace two of the instrument panel lights on my 01 mk1 ford focus. I removed the instrument panel and replaced with bulbs i got in a motor factors (problem is i think they gave me the wrong ones). refitted everything, smell of burning briefly and now none of the back lights work. All the other lights work ( handbrake, check engine etc etc).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Kev

Sounds like you blew fuse. Check fuse out.
Hopefully the smell was just a bulb and not the board frying. You will of course have to remove it and check/replace lamps.
