I've just started doing a bit of jogging 3 times a week.
Usually approx. a 4 mile route close to my house, hopefully increase this distance as I get more able

I'd like to get a GPS watch that would track distance, time, etc?

At the moment I use runkeeper app on the iphone and I like that but find it bulky in my pocket.

    Any reccommedations?

It depends really how much you want to spend and if you want in-built HR monitor or not.

This guy does super reviews. http://www.dcrainmaker.com/product-reviews/garmin

If you search through users have logged their new watches and how they are getting on.

Thanks. I wouldn't really want a HR monitor

Then you can buy Garmins anyway with or without the HR strap. They are other makes of course like Polar and Fitbit so all about the research. I've had the forerunner 110 and now on the 220 and they are super for motivation and much lighter than a phone so would highly recommend.

Agree with aquinn...I use the Garmin 210 and it is a superb watch for runs. GPS is usually quick to lock on and it is quite accurate.
The HRM strap is not so great and I am currently on my second one and it is now not working properly. But the watch is fine and I am more then happy at the moment to use it without the HRM......

It also charges from the UBS connection wire into the computer, which is handy.... Price is around €180????? I think...

This is for the 225 so you can have a read on peoples views as the 220 as he compares to the 225

GPS to track 4 miles? Why?

He/she did say they'd like to increase their distance so why not? Nothing wrong with using GPS for 4 mile runs.

Is anyone using a Suunto GPS Ambit3 watch - appears to specialise in capturing accurate elevation data which is my main interest? The Garmin Forerunner 310 I have sometimes finds imaginary short steep climbs and descents.
