    Hi Guys

Ive a fire place with a extremely old non functioning back boiler. I want to remove this and widen fire place. its a stone cladded fire place. Opening is very narrow and low in height as well at the moment. any advice on this? any tricky bits?

If you want to widen it you would have to put in a concrete lintel on the head and leave adequate support in the corners to take the weight! Would end up doing a lot of ripping to get it in. Wouldn't be a 5 minute job! Not rocket science either but very hard to give advice without seeing it.
