After much research I decided on an Asus Zenbook ux305. Only thing is they're like 300 euro cheaper in the states (before import chatges etc). Anyone have any tips on getting one of these laptops new and on the cheap?

If you have relatives or friends in the US just transfer money to them and let them buy and deliver it for you. That's the cheapest way that i can think of.

Alternatively you can buy 2nd hand products on Ebay here in Europe.

That's a good shout thanks! Think if they send it as a 'gift' it's tax exempt?

It's all about luck really. If customs checked your item then i'm afraid they can charge you for it.

I think there's a limit for tax exempted gifts not sure by how much
