I ordered some meds from an online pharmacy in India a few weeks ago. I checked the tracking number with An post and it said it arrived on Friday in Portlaois mail centre. Should it have reached me in Carlow yet? Can customs seize it?

If they are classed as medicines they will most likely be confiscated.

what were you importing from India that you could not get in Ireland?

Just seen they are from an online pharmacy so will probably have been confiscated already, expect a letter or visit from the Gardai about illegally importing medicines.

Probably Fake medicine - they will be doing you a favour in seizing it.

Your details will aslo be recorded and you will get a letter from the Irish Medicines Board.

It is illegal to import most medicines without a licence.
