    I'm starting to read music, any good methods for learning sheet music?

    I am currently just reading some books and websites. However im finding it frustrating.

    Same as learning to read words. Start with letters. Build to short words. It's just a code that represents pitch, volume, and duration. It's not rocket surgery.

    Yeah not much to say here. Get exercise books and manuscripts, copy out sheet music. Write letters under everything until it becomes second nature. It's like learning any skill: practise! It's not difficult :)

    I wouldn't recommend writing the letter names in, you'll never really learn to read then- you'll just read the letter names. Whenever you get rid of the letter names, you'll be back to square one.

    What age are you? When did you start learning to play? What do you play? What do you want to accomplish exactly and by when?
