Help with iphone i cloud restore, iphone 6 to iphone 4

Hi All, I had my iphone 6 stolen and i am now using an iphone 4. I updated the ios to the latest one and reset the phone, im now trying to restore from my last backup and it just keep saying cannot restore backup, ive tried all the backups available. any thoughts?

You can't restore an iCloud backup to a previous version of iOS. So if your backup was on iOS 8 the. You can't restore it to a device running iOS 7.
