    Hey :)

So I'm looking at progressing my game over the winter months I didn't have the year I wanted and think a few lessons would do no harm but I don't know who to go to. I'm in the Galway/Oranmore area. I was thinking of Declan Cunningham as he has a trackman but I would like others opinions please. Any recommendations?

I've had lessons from both Gary and Dave Mortimer in Galway GC. Gary uses video only, Dave has a very nifty indoor setup with either a Trackman or GC2 (can't remember) so you have all the figures. Both are very professional to deal with. On balance, I feel I got more out of sessions with Dave. When you have the figures there's no guess work for the pro in diagnosing your issues and you can get to trying to fix it straight off the bat. As with everything, I think it's horses for courses and what suits me may not necessarily suit you. PM me if you'd like any more details.

Also, ive heard there's a very good guy in Athenry (not Dec) who's coaching the Connaught youth squad, but alas I cannot remember his name.

    +1 for Gary Madden
Won't get overly technical with you. Sound man too!

Never got a lesson from Declan Cunningham but I know a few folks who have and the feedback is always the same..............knows what he's talking about but gets very technical. Some people like that approach but it wouldn't be for me.

    Sean Whelan maybe?

He works out of Athenry. Good teacher, didn't get to technical. No monitor set up though if that's what you looking for but definitely improved my game
